Privacy Policy

Weiss Construction (“we”, “us”) operates this application at wc.sown.io for its owner and team members to manage projects, time, expenses, invoices and field work. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s PIPEDA.

Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, mobile phone number, and — if you choose Google sign-in — your Google account name, email and profile picture.
  • Work records: time entries, tasks, project notes, photos you take or upload, expenses and receipts, mileage trips.
  • Location: only while the app is open and only if you allow it, to remind you to clock in or out at a job site and to measure mileage. iPhone Shortcuts automations send arrive/leave events only if you set them up.
  • Voice: when you use the voice assistant or dictation, your audio is converted to text to answer your request.
  • Client and business data entered by the company: client contacts, project addresses, invoices and payments.
  • Bank transactions, if the company connects a business bank account, to match expenses to projects.

How we use it

  • To run the company’s projects: timesheets, invoicing, job costing and reports.
  • To sign you in (one-time codes by SMS or email, or Google sign-in) and to send reminders and notifications.
  • With Google Calendar, only if the owner connects it, to create and update appointments the app schedules. We do not read other calendar events.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the app: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database and photo storage), Twilio (SMS), SendGrid (email), Google (sign-in, calendar, maps), Square (invoices and payments), Plaid (bank connections), Anthropic (AI assistant) and ElevenLabs (voice). They process data only to provide their service to us. Some providers may store data outside Canada.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the providers above, with clients as needed for invoices, or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

Business records are kept as long as needed for the company’s operations and tax obligations (generally at least six years in Canada). You can ask to see or correct your information, or ask that your account be deactivated, by contacting the company owner.

Google user data

Data received from Google APIs is used only to provide the features described above and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is not used for advertising and is not shared except as needed to provide those features.
